Hungarian Coconut Rum Balls

It is almost Christmas and today's post I am writing in English in a hope that in English it will spread to more houses and it is about a typical Hungarian dessert: Hungarian Coconut Rum Balls or the Hungarian name: Kókuszgolyó. We usually eat this dessert at Christmas, so simple to make, without using an oven or cooking. I love it because
it remembers me of snowballs so here comes the recipe:

Ingredients:
  • cookie crumbs (half kg)
  • 10 dkg of cocoa powder (without sugar)
  • 6 spoons of sugar
  • 3-4 spoons of rum
  • 5-6 spoons of apricot jam
  • 1 cup of milk (2dl)
  • 1/2 cup of coconut flakes
How to make it?

All that you need to do is mix the ingredients in a bowl. First add the cookie crumbs with the cocoa powder and sugar into the bowl and after that you simply add the rum, apricot jam and milk and mix it until you see that all your ingredients are well sticked together. Make small balls from the mixture and roll it into the coconut flakes. Put it into the fridge for 2 hours before serving it.
